Silk is a natural protein fibre. It takes up about 11% of its weight in moisture from the air, against under 1% for polyester satin. UK and US dermatology guidance for curly and Afro-textured hair suggests silk or satin to cut overnight friction. We don't claim it treats acne, eczema or wrinkles.
